Lia Gutiérrez has over 23 years of pharmacoepidemiology and risk-management research experience, as well as experience in the design, implementation, analysis and reporting of regulatory observational drug-safety studies involving different data-collection methods and the implementation of studies assessing the effectiveness of risk-minimization measures of drugs involving multinational sites. Ms. Gutiérrez produces numerous epidemiologic reports for orphan drug applications and pediatric investigation plans required for regulatory submissions. Her primary research areas of interest include studies on evaluation of cancer-related outcomes associated with the use of drugs, and drug-safety epidemiology in general. Before joining RTI HS, Ms. Gutiérrez held clinical and research positions at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and worked as a pharmacoepidemiologist for pharmaceutical companies.
