Kelly Campbell has nearly a decade of experience developing mathematical models, including health economic and dynamic transmission models. In her role at RTI HS, Dr. Campbell develops and adapts cost-effectiveness and budget-impact models; conducts systematic and targeted literature reviews; and supports health technology assessment submissions for the National Institute of Health and Care Excellence, the Scottish Medicines Consortium, Canada's Drug Agency, and the National Health Care Institute, among others. She has experience in therapeutic areas such as dermatology (hidradenitis suppurativa, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis), oncology (non–small cell lung cancer, multiple myeloma), lupus nephritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, cutaneous lupus erythematosus, psoriatic arthritis, diabetes, and infectious diseases (HIV, COVID-19, respiratory syncytial virus). Dr. Campbell also has experience developing models in Excel, VBA, R, and MATLAB.

Dr. Campbell’s thesis in graduate school focused on mathematical modelling of the evolution of cell populations in cartilage and cartilage-bone defects after cell therapy to better understand the formation of newly regenerated tissue following treatment. Prior to this, Dr. Campbell studied topics such as dynamic transmission modelling, mathematical competition, and optimization, amongst others.
